Water fasting & Coffee? (day 4 of ???)
Hello everyone,
Today is day 4 of my water & coffee fast. I'm using coffee (black with Stevia to sweeten it up) for two reasons: 1) to help boost my energy level and; 2) to help stave off hunger.
I know, I know. Most of you will either raise an eyebrow or offer your critique. That's fine - I'm happy to receive both.
I completed my first 11 day fast just about three months ago although I was really hoping to go for 20 days. Since then I've had either a lack of will-power or focus to go more than 3-4 days at a time before caving in while I was attempting another 20 day fast. This time around I believe I have the will-power to go the full distance of either 20 or 30 days, with some help, of course.
I'm using coffee only as a temporary measure for the two reasons stated above. I understand that the whole point of the fasting is for healing and cleansing of the body. To this I am quite certain that the long fast itself will help clean/flush out the caffeine, sort of a counter measure of my drinking coffee.
I’m happy to report that on day 4 I’m doing fine and believe I have a good opportunity to go beyond my 11-day record. And to echo what someone else said in another post – I’m not making any period of time a goal because if I fall short of that goal I’ll feel as if though I’ve failed. So no number of days set.
