Yest is not part of the immune system. It's considered as sporophyte, so it doesn't do any harm but doesn't help at all.
It lives in the gastrointestinal tract, if everything is fine it stays there, if the balance breaks, it gets out of there and grows through the entire body. It's not the same yeast anymore. The thing is you can't just restore the balance, since the healthy bacteria that keeps it in line inside of the colon doesn't live in bloodstream, skin and other organs that may be infected by candida.
I also suffer from a chronic oral thrush or oral candidiasis(i don't know if that's the same) for about 8 years, and i don't see how the oranges could help me. They don't seem to have any antifungal properties. Oranges contain fructose, so i don't think eating a lot of them could help. I hardly ever eat any but they seem to feed the yeast in my case.
