Re: Fasting and fear associated with

Hello Michael,
indeed no, you are not troubling me or anyone else for that matter. Don't forget this is a support forum, which means exactly what it says.

I decided many years ago that because my own life had been saved by Alternative health care, I would do everything possible to help as many other people as I could, from the potential nightmare of orthodox medicine. It is a real pleasure, and very gratifying to me personally, that the Internet has been able to open many doors and enable me to reach as wide an audience as possible.

In answer to your question (and to err on the safe side) it may be wise to replenish your food reserves before undertaking another fast. You are only as safe as your food reserves permit, so this could be the best option.
However, the most reliable bodily test for minerals is with a hair-mineral analysis, which reveals ALL the minerals present in the body and, in most cases, reflects the quantity of these nutrients in your tissues.
Analysis of this information provides a wealth of information on how efficiently your body is working and its nutritional status. A blood test can only give information about your mineral levels at the time the test is taken.

For instance, if you've just eaten a banana a blood test may indicate a high potassium level, even though you actually need a potassium supplement. Hair analysis reflects your body's storage of potassium over a period of time, not what you ate that day, or even that week. Likewise, urine tests measure what is being excreted from your body, which is not necessarily what has been absorbed.

If I were you, I would ask my GP for the above test. You can always offer an excuse as to why you want it done. Bad diet over a long period of time and so on.
On this basis you can decide whether to proceed with the fast or otherwise.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, as it does help us to have a greater insight and therefore offer more accurate advice.

Regards

Chrisb1.
