Re: PSYLLIUM & BENTONITE COLON CLEANSE -Bladder Infections
Hi Sherri, yes, cranberries in any form are still irritating. And yes, that's all I do when I start getting "that burning" or twinges of stabbing pains in my bladder (the beginning of either a bladder infection or a bout with the Interstitchel Cystitis, IC). I drink a cup of water with a teaspoon of baking soda maybe three times a day. I stop as soon as I don't feel any burning and most of the time does the trick. If it doesn't stop after two or three days, I have to go to the doctor for an antibiotic.
Usually, for me because I have this condition, lab tests show that I have miniscule drops of blood in the urine but no infection. This is when, again for me, it is the IC acting up. In that case my urologist gives me "Cipro," one of the best meds for IC.
By the way, I got this tip from the Interstitial Cystitis Foundation forum and it really does work.
Did you check out that website? If you're having problems with your bladder, read everything you can at that site, it's wonderful.
