gastroparesis

hi! i started my waterfast last wednesday evening and it was going so well- i wasnt hungry, was overcoming cravings well and was very optimistic (although i was very tired but i could deal with it)... until the early hours of sunday when i could not sleep due to hyperacidity. the problem gt worse on monday when my stomach wasnt emptying the water i was drinking (gastroparesis) and so after drinking a certain amount of water i'd vomit (vomiting three times on sunday in total)- leaving me very dehydrated! After eating some fruit and drinking a rehydration solution i felt better but have had a fever, sore throat and a severe headache for the past few days.

I felt very upset that after a few days of fasting (and it not being difficult on this occasion) that i had to give it up as i think starting the fast and the first few days are the hardest and so i had felt that id climbed a big hill gettin ova the first three days.

However, i am starting to think now that maybe fasting just isnt for me because from attempts in the past, i have found that i am ok up until about day four- by which day the acid in my stomach gets too much ot i start having severe abdominal pain or i start vomiting.

I have decided that i will try to fast one last time, but would appreciate ur advice on how i could minimise acid production in my stomach and therefore prevent the effects mentioned as i rly believe that fasting will help me...

thankyou :)
