I have to disagree with several points there In Charge.
Long fasts are almost always better if the person's lifestyle and motivation are up to it.
No preparation is needed, and the only preparation I would suggest for fasting unless there is a specific medical condition involved would be to eat raw foods until a natural healing crisis signals 'the perfect time' to begin a fast.
The fasting body is very capable of releasing toxins in whatever amounts that are necessary and does everything that specific 'cleanses' do but a whole lot more at the same time.
High water content raw fruit is perfect for breaking just about any fast. juicing is optional but not necessary.
You can be very sure that the body has done everything it can to detox after 46 days of fasting. I think this person's achievement is awesome and their plan of refeeding perfect for them.
