I'm lucky there, my husband has done a few short fasts with me, so i haven't got to worry about what he thinks etc.

I wouldn't put kids on a fast, if that is what you are thinking. Mainly because authorities might get involved if they heard about it. Also children are growing and they'd need to be old enough to understand and give their consent.

Do you take anything for your mood swings? You mention aromatherapy, i find clary sage is good at lifting depression. I put it in the bath or few drops on hanky.

Also fish oils. It could be a hormonal thing. Fasting balances out the endocrine system. And eating healthily keeps hormones balanced.
