Hi, congratulations on having your Amalgam removed! :-)

Just wanted to ask a few questions to better understand your situation.

When you were having the pain, did your dentist say what was causing your tooth this discomfort? Did you have Amalgam removal performed on this wisdom tooth? If so, what kind of material was used?

I take it this tooth is now showing up as having a dead root? If so, your dentist is probably suggesting you pull the tooth versus creating a root canal situation.

There's a lot of information out there which discusses how dental health impacts our whole body health. Teeth are associated with corresponding body organs along the acupuncture meridians. In fact, teeth are organs themselves.

Look up "cavitations", and talk to your dentist about his knowledge in this area.

Cavitations can sometimes happen after a tooth is extracted (probably more often in traditional dentistry), but especially in the wisdom tooth area. Also, if you decide to have your tooth pulled, you'll need to be sure they get it all out and not leave any "root tips" behind.
