Be encouraged, it's not a pretty word after all.....

In many parts of Spain and some countries of Latin America, the expression "Fo!" is used whenever a person comes into a blast of something putrid smelling. As I have been bi-coastal for many years, I find it terribly amusing when on one coast I hear people using the expression in disgust, while on the other coast I hear it in reference to one of my favorite dishes. :-D And by the way, for those of you who were wondering, in both cases the pronunciation is exactly the same; F-sound with very short and abrupt o.
