Not sure the spit test is reliable. It is mostly promoters of candida products that demonstrate those test on their websites. I would suggest getting a stool test done, as that seems to be the most reliable way to tell if candida is elevated in the body. The trick is to sift through the published research versus the quackery. You can try Dr Crook's candida questionnaire (available on a lot of sites). Again, reliable? Who knows? But it will give you an idea what symptoms are deemed to be markers for the condition. As for the future, I believe blood tests looking for certain antibodies might be used as a definitive test, and I have heard that candida accords with certain elevated amino acids in the urine. In short, it is plenty of detective work.
