You are right, however, only as long as you are eating the white part, pericarp, of the rinds...

This is true with most fleshy skinned fruits.

It is extremely important when eating fruits and vegetables that we eat the skins as well... as the skins are also the layer of the fruit/vegetable/plant that has this scavenger mechanism, it is why we must strive to eat home grown and/or local, organic... the pollution from corporate farming accumulates in the skins... but then the skins are the greatest source for human healing. Catch 22.

What does this say about our skin? The power of sun, clean air, hydrotherapy, including detox and mineral baths, and oil massage becomes a bit more clear eh?
