Well, first maybe you might want to incorporate more yoga, deep breathing type exercises in your life for the greater oxygen uptake. It may have something to do with the way your body works and it's complicated metabolic pathways. I, for one, have blood issues like anemia, low oxygen, and elevated porphyrins. If I go outside for less than 5 minutes, I will be burned to toast worse than someone out for hours. Doctors say it has something to do with my blood and those porphyrins. So my point is, when it comes to blood and hemoglobin pathways, it is a very confusing and complicated matter where answers are hard to find.
