Re: Will Omega-3's Help with Memory Issues from an Acquired Brain Injury?

Very true about having your HBOT. However, I had read somewhere about it being weaker or not exactly the same. It would be a consideration if you and someone close to you is trained properly. I was in no condition at the time, and my husband would not have been able to take the time. The cost would have been too much at the time. As it was we rolled it into our morgage. 60 sessions and travel was around $8000 over 3 years. I think when I researched it new home units were around 18- 25,000$.

Regarding your condition. I did have neuropathic pain and it was greatly alleviated. However , do to worsening spine issue I now require neurosurgery to stop progressing of problem. I also had something called complex regional pain syndrome that can be caused by trauma surgery or is idiopathic. That was helped alot. Regarding the cause of your problems have you looked at diabetes, endocrine, degenerative joint disease, spine changes, trama of any sort? I find it frustrating when a name or a cause cannot be attributed, when physicians are unable or unwilling to figure it out , then there is a limited treatment plan, if at all.

I know in Britain MS sufferers often get hyperbaric as prescribed by their national healthcare, MS is of neurological orgin. I believe it would help. I also believe that you should check your diet for any chemicals and remove them, including all flouride, remove all sodas, asparatame and splendra are said to be mimickers of neurological disease. Go raw and healthy. If you eat meat and will continue , check out weston price. Check out proper food combinations by Harvey Diamond. I also have water fasted, consume only water to help my immune system.

If you haven 't had MRI of neck or lumbar region, I would try to get that. IF your spine is intact, looking at blood sugar, and or endocrine issues, diabetes would be helpful. Spinal tap would be helpful to rule any organisms or MS.

Don't be afraid to get second and third opinions or travel a long distance to see true specialist for your area. Take all your results to someone who will really study them and make suggestions both mainstream and alternative that might help.

You might consider one of the two MDs listed above to see what they have to say.

Also look at any medications you are taking, some of the side effects if you do research on them can be quite undesirable and negatively profound. I was given a blood pressure med that controlled blood pressure and at the same time contributes to heart failure... When I found that out I was really upset. There were alternatives that could have been given and I was on it for a few years after the accident. Someone if not you needs to help be your advocate and check things out. Make your money and your time work for you. It does feel futile sometimes but you are better off. Course correct when you get down.

Best of luck. I hope this helps and you see some improvements or cures. Take care.
