The Doctors and Mirena
I truly believe that the doctors are aware of the side effects of Mirena and just not letting on to their patients because they still want the money. Having an IUD placed or removed is not a cheap process. When I went in to have my IUD removed, I said to my doctor that I had read 12% of Mirena users get ovarian cysts, he said "That is a very good number, however it is more like 50%." I wanted you all to know that he also said that all of my pain, cysts, abcesses, and infection are a direct result from the Mirena!!! I requested a copy of my medical records and ultrasounds and pick them up today.
My doctor was very reluctant to tell me certain things, as I am sure he is afraid of being sued. When I was in the hospital the nurses told me more than my doctor did. I was very upset, so when I got home and was a little more rested I called his office and demanded answers. I have been told that I need to let my
Antibiotics run their course, then come back in for another ultrasound to see where we go from there. Still being vague. SO at this point I do not know if I will need surgery. Has anyone out there had cysts that just dissolved? Do all cysts require surgery? I am also afraid of a rupture, being sure not to wander far from home in case of that happening. I can't even sleep due to the fact of wondering what is going to happen next. As far as my husband goes, trying to get him to understand is like pulling teeth. I feel alone and lost, which is why I am so thankful for all of you. Without your support I would go out of my mind!! Thank you for reading and responding, take care Michelle
