Check out the action of mercury on calcium and calmodulin action and metabolism...

If I am not mistaken this refers to calcium, calmodulin (calcium modulated protein) associated serine kinase (CASK).

example:

I believe that mercury will compete with other metal cations on calmodulin and would cause an inactivation of an active calmodulin.

Wouldn't this interfere with the production of CASK?
