I adopted my current dog from Petfinder. When I was searching, I noticed several listings that rescue groups would have that said they were "courtesy posts". They would have the contact information of the person who had them post it. You may do a search on there to find a local group and see if they will put the post on for you. You would need to provide them with pictures and any information you have on personality traits, background, etc. If one rescue group won't do it, just keep trying the places near you until you find one.
