ALS NORTHEAST TRUST-non-profit foundation
A.L.S. [LOU GEHRIG'S] NORTHEAST TRUST
Carole Bergeron, R.N. and Linda Paulhus would like to announce the formation of a new non-profit organization, A.L.S. Northeast Trust.
The non-profit will offer patients a voice in choosing their treatment options. Based on hundreds of communications, a significant number of patients have indicated a preference for an A.C.A.M. or A.A.E.M. treatment approach. Donations will be disbursed directly to patients for the reimbursement of treatment costs.
The second phase of the Trust will act as a receivership for funds for the purpose of creating a clinic with a research team. Bergeron and Paulhus will actively persue grant monies and corporate donations to fund the project. They have completed six years of research and have developed a program. The foundation is also seeking donated time to help create a website and discussion forum.
With deep appreciation, we would like to acknowledge the contribution from Atty. John Healey and staff. John assisted us with the application process at a time he was struggling with a terminal disease.
Donations will gratefully be accepted by mail at: ALS NORTHEAST TRUST, 26 Union Street, Newburyport, Ma., 01950, or the Institution for Savings, 93 State Street, Newburyport, Ma., 01950
