why not use ointment?

The hydrocortisone that I had was called loicid if that means anything.

I'm sure it made me worse.

If you are seeing improvements how do you know that its just becuase you are not force peeling them and keeping them moisturized.

Maybe it has nothing to do with lactic acid and hydrocortisone.

The test will be when you use neither and then just moisturise.
