Where do I start??

Hi Everyone I am new!! I have had Mirena for about a year and started having bad side effects about 4-5 months ago. It took me a while to realize that was the root of my problems. Now that I have read some of your messages I now realize I have other side effects. I have been having severe pain on the left side of my lower abdomen, headaches, irratibility, mood swings, back pain, and the list continues. I was supposed to have it removed on Thursday 3/20 but my doctor was afraid I might have been pregnant, because of erratic periods. I had a cycle last for over 14 days and this junk has been in place for a YEAR! It is encouraging to know that there is relief once it is removed.I can not wait to get this thing out. Hopefully it will come out Monday or Tuesday, after I have a pelvic ultrasound! Does anyone know why my DOC would want me to have an ultrasound? Has anyone had an ultrasound due to Mirena? My pregnancy test was negative, thank goodness. Mamazoag Tweet
