I am formerly PTree and now posting solely as O. Julien. I am using this username as it is the name that I have actually given myself. I am legally changing my name to O. Julien Arbor, and the papers will be at the courthouse within the next few days. I will not be using any other username from this point forward. I am aware that many, many people are posting with aliases. Frankly, I wonder just how many users are actually on CureZone! I also know that the user count is not accurate at least some of the time. How could there possibly be over 8,000 people logged on to this site at a time, and no one posts for over 20 minutes? A whole lot of things at CureZone don't make any sense! And given that I am in the process of designing CureZone merchandise, I find it quite frustrating that this is the case. It makes me wonder if I am not wasting my time. And I simply don't have the time to waste!
Nevertheless...
CureZone is an incredible resource of information about natural healing and many additional topics, and their are some remarkable people contributing to this site! Just like anything else, though, there is both positive and negative. To locate the best that CureZone has to offer requires separating the wheat from the chaff
It is very evident to me that there are people with very little integrity who are trolling for business at CureZone; they are plugging their products and services, and at times they are even posting fictitiously, in order to cash in on the exposure. Even sadder than that, there are also people who come to CureZone just to cause trouble. I suppose that their own lives are so miserable that they have nothing better to do then stir up a hornet's nest! And even more dangerous still, are the internet predators who use CureZone as a venue for targeting their prey!
Given CureZone's ranking, this is to be expected. Particularly since there are not better controls in place. It would be most helpful if there was greater moderation on a website such as CureZone, and if the moderators had the appropriate tools to adequately monitor the site. I did my best when I was a moderating as PTree, although it became too frustrating and too time consuming to do it without any compensation other than the occasional words of appreciation, and so I quit. There is simply too much information to weed through and not enough appropriate support. And just like everybody else, I have to make a living! It makes me quite sad and angry sometimes to see such a valuable source of information be treated so haphazardly. However, it is not my place to make decisions about how CureZone is run, and so I try to maintain a positive focus; contribute whatever I can, take from it whatever is beneficial, and have some fun in the process!
I don't know who you are or what your unique cure is or what you did that was so scandalous that it would have you banned yet again from the site. Given what some have done at CureZone who have not lost their posting privileges or apologized for their actions, it would be a real shame if anyone who was making a positive contribution was banned yet again. That is Dusan call, however, and I can only hope that he would make it wisely.
I will say, however, that saying that you "kinda got swept into it" is not really taking responsibility for your actions. Whatever the nature of this "major scandal" was, if you were involved in it then you were more than a passive participant. Perhaps if you took more responsibility for whatever happened and made appropriate amends to whomever was effected, there would be no further issue of you being banned. It seems to me that your courage to post about this and your apology to CureZone is a very good start!
I definitely do not advise living with regret. If you believe that you should be answering questions from posters about whatever this cure is, and you want to do so openly and without fear of being banned, perhaps you might want to contact Dusan directly and see if you can straighten everything out with him. It seems like this would be better for you, and it would probably be easier for posters who are looking for you. Frankly, this whole site would be a whole lot better if everyone dropped their mask and showed who they really are! I don't expect this to happen, although it would certainly be a very pleasant and refreshing change if it did!
