Re: genetics and hypoglycemia

Hi kc123:

How are you? We have been communicating here before. Sorry to hear about your experience with doctors.

Have you read the books on hypoglycemia? I posted a few of them here before.

1. Hypoglycemia - The classic Health care Handbook. By Saunders and Dr. Ross
2. Low Blood Sugar - By Martin. L Budd

I do not know about genetics, but it could be. In my daughter's case she shows some signs like her maternal grandmother, so I always wondered about genetics. My side of the family has no blood related issues. Normally high and low blood Sugar issues are due to chromium and magnesium deficiency. Also do not give your daughter Sugar and simple carbohydrates when her sugar is low. She needs complex carbs and protein in her diet. If you read these books these doctors tell you what to eat.

Your daughter is definitely hypoglycemic. Doctors in America do not tell you that, find a good endocrinologist who believes that there is a condition opposite of diabetes. Blood sugar 265 and 34 are both dangerous. Fasting sugar should be between 70 and 100 and after eating 2 hour measure should be between 110 and 140.

Basically her insulin is out of balance. I am posting a few links below that may help you.

YOU MUST EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT HYPOGLYCEMIA IN ORDER TO HELP YOUR DAUGHTER NOW. IF THIS GO ON FOR YEARS SHE WILL FORM A HABIT OF EATING AND IT WILL BE HARD LATER ON AS IN MY CASE, WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS CONDITION AND MY DAUGHTER DOES NOT WANT TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS BLOOD SUGAR PROBLEM WITH HER SO SHE STAYS ON ANTIDEPRESSANT.
