This may or may not have anything to do with the problem, but also wanted to add that I'm a bit paranoid of the chance that my dog may pick up problems at the dog park, particularly when he drinks the water shared by all dogs in the park. I've recently began to take him to a different dog park than usual where there is a much more accessible water supply and he has drank relatively freely from this (it's a couple of big dishes full of water that every dog in the park drinks from, splashes in, etc).
