dragnfly2, are you me?!?!?! I swear I was just logging on to write nearly the EXACT same thing.
I also had mine out on the 26th, and I am so glad that I did. I had two days of very light bleeding with no cramps or anything. My husband has commented several times that the change in me is unbelievable. Last night, he actually said, "The girl I married is back. That other girl is gone."
My sex drive is also back with a vengence. Of course, he has no problem with that at all. I feel like I have spent the last 15 months in a fog. The world is just more clear. I haven't felt like knocking my husband's head off-- not once. :) I am even more patient with these two students, who are so incredibly lazy and annoying I could have screamed two weeks ago.
We discussed last night the possibility that a crash could come. He was just very matter-of-fact about it; he said, "That doesn't happen to everyone, so it's not going do you a bit of good mentally to even consider it. If it happens, it happens, and we'll deal with it."
drgnfly, I'm so interested to see how similar our stories go. For background, how old are you, and how long did you have the Mirena? Do you have kids? I am 34 (as of yesterday), no kids, and had my first Mirena for 5 years, second one for 15 months-- with the severe problems with the most recent one.
Hang in there ladies! There IS light at the end of the tunnel.
