First of all thanks to all of the women who have taken the time to write their experience, it has helped me so much. Long story short....I got the iud 6 months ago and it has completely changed me. When I went to the Dr she so strongly reccomended this as I was asking for a endometrial ablation. She claimed that this hormone would only be delivered into your uterus. I am a nurse so I did do some research, missed this site but....At first it was a miracle, I really have never had a period, after years of terrible periods. After about 3 months I realized I no longer looked forward to oh life. I have been lazy, tierd, hungry, if someone walked up and handed me a free orgasm I would look at them like they where stupid. Worst side effects have been severe dizziness, breat pain, hip and joint pain and best yet about 10-15 ovarian cysts which one was the size of a softball and I hurt so bad I could not function. I have a long history of not tolerating hormones as the pill made me psycho, I took hormones to try to get pregnant and lets just say " I was riding the crazy train and no one was invited but me. " I have felt like I have been in a fog, really like I have not been thinking straight and spacey. As a matter of fact I got into my first car accident one week ago and it was due to " spacey " I almost feel like my body is rejecting this. So, I have now done more research and this is coming out now. I may atttempt to pull a Rambo and take it out myself, but If that does not happen next week I will get it out and I am going to have an endometrial ablation. Could anyone tell me how long after removed did you start feeling better? Any input would help as my fiance needs some hope! God bless
