Re: Factitious Cheilitis, Idiopathic Cheilitis Support Forum

This is foolish.. i've seen people under the most stressful conditions
ever...about ot go to jail, lost their job, family member murdered etc....
lots of stress and they do not get this. I've seen people lick their lips crazy and they do not get this.

I agree leaving the lip alone is important to cure it. In other words do not lick them, do not get food or too much water on them,do not put petroleum jelly on them or lip balm and never peel them, just cut with sissors. However we have deficit caused by an inflamation. Do not think this we are perpetuting this by stressing out too much. Positive thoughts will help with any disease but they will not cure it just like it will help you with cancer but may not cure it.

We need to fix it.
We will fix it.... but we need to cooperation by everyone and thats lacking here.
I personally have improved my lips. Slowly I am learning more and more everyday.
But everyone needs to get involved...
