Fluoride is ubiquitous

You cannot get away from it...

What to do?

I think most know that fluoride is highly reactive...

Fluoride has an affinity to both calcium and aluminum... in a calcium deficient life, whether through soil, or food\water, free fluoride will attempt to bond with whatever is most available... aluminum in the case of a calcium deficient plant, body, etc.

Keep in mind here that fluoride can interfere with calcium absorption and utilization... this makes sense as the free fluoride binds with the calcium ingested and it is then just excreted, most likely to the point of using up free fluoride before being absorbed in any amount.

Calcium IS the antidote for fluoride poisoning\toxicity...

Adequate calcium IS the best way to DECREASE the risk of aluminum toxicity and ameliorate an aluminum problem.

Why is this?

Aluminum cannot bind to a calcium bound halogen... free calcium will precipitate out both the fluoride and aluminum.

There is such a thing as aluminum induced calcium deficiency.

Most are aware of the aluminum association with Alzheimer's; but did you know that in order to facilitate ease of crossing the blood brain barrier, aluminum must be bound to fluoride?

Now, why do you suppose some mistakenly believe that calcium is the problem here?  Could it be that the body is working to eliminate the threat?  What does the body use calcium for?   Nerve impulses, data transmission?  What happens when the aluminum fluoride begins to shut down the transmissions along nerves?   Would the body see a need for more calcium...

Aluminum is an abundant element in dirt. When aluminum is absorbed in the intestines it forms _?_ compounds that accumulate in the cerebral cortex, blocking nerve impulses. This is aggravated by calcium deficiencies.

Come on people, I am trying real hard to reach and teach some of you... is it so hard to grasp?

BTW Aluminum is ubiquitous... cannot get away from it either. Most people get between 5 and 150mg aluminum every day. Item for research... how much fluoride do you get each day?

Do you get and ABSORB enough calcium to eliminate this threat?  What else is needed to assist calcium in its balance and use in the body?

Many municipal water supplies are treated with both Aluminum sulphate and aluminum fluoride... what can this combination do? We know aluminum fluoride can cross the blood\brain barrier...

You cannot get away from it... but you can take steps to minimize its threat\impact and do not have to "fear" it, OR let anyone else feed that fear. Knowledge is power.

Some reading...

Google Book - Soil Fertility Evaluation and Control

If you are going to get better, you must change the terrain... how many times have you heard that on CZ?

Alzheimer's & Aluminum Toxicity

Where we live may influence diseases of old age

"Evidence cited in his paper also shows that humans live longer when exposed to elevated levels of calcium and magnesium."

Why do you suppose that is?

What about silicon? Could it have a similar impact to the brain as aluminum in too great amount?

Do some research...

Think!

If you do the research you will find out other interesting tidbits that will lead you to a better understanding of health and wellness...

What other elements are ubiquitous?

Anything in too high a quantity is obviously not good... but some things can be used to "buffer" and\or entirely ameliorate the effects\threats of others and improve our lives.
