Re: Recurring Bartholin's cyst/abscess

I too have a recurring cyst. I got my first one about 8 months ago. It was swollen but did not hurt. I had a catheter put in. 2 months after the first one I got another, this one hurt. It burst on it's own. Since then, I've had 4 more cysts.

Just yesterday I went back in to have the current one drained. I was in more pain than I have EVER been in. I could barely sit down or walk. The Dr told me that I had TWO cysts on top of each other. WHAT? She put in another catheter and I am supposed to have it for TWO WEEKS.

I am going to ask for a marsupialization. I cannot take this anymore. It's painful, disgusting and causing a serious problem in my sex life. Thank goodness I have such an amazing man in my life.

What does it take to get a marsupialization? How do you convince the Dr to do one? Tweet
