Actually that's 4 minutes each time for 5 times in succession. I don't know that the amount of time makes the difference, but somebody suggested that done that way would eliminate absorbing the toxins before you spit it out. This resonated with me, and I have been doing it that way. Yes it does get white and foamy after 4 minutes. I have read that the oil should be refined at this web site. http://tinyurl.com/o8ufl

Could be the reason yours turns yellow instead of white, I don't know. I have been using Spectrum oil I buy at the local healthfood store. If you are having trouble finding refined oil, you might want to go to their web site and order it there.

I don't know. I guess the best way to find out is brush differently for a few days and see if there is any difference.

Actually I had a coated tongue prior to pulling. Even after I brushed, now it seems after pulling, and brushing the coating is gone, or at least not as bad.

BTW, I agree with trapper about the shower filter. Get them at the health food store also. Good luck.
