Re: controversy over raw food...

Oy!!! I'm a happy vegan!!! Well almost vegan. I eat honey occasionally.
In fact I was most miserable when, for a few short months, years ago I ate fish and red meat... I was a mess emotionally and hormonally. Oh and I was also a mess when my thyroid crashed (I was 100% raw at that point), but had other MAJOR stresses going on.

However, I think ultimately I have to concur that my experience of some vegans is that they are experiencing a lower than average level of health. I think this is because they think not eating animal products is all that's required. Maybe it's because they eat that way only for the ethical reasons, and put as much thought into the health aspects as your average Big Mac chomper. I know a lot of vegetarians in general who have this sort of attitude. They also tend to think simplistically. For example "I'm gonna be really healthy if I have one carrot juice a week/day" or whatever. They never actually THINK about health. Or they buy a bottle of tablets called “ultimate detox” or something similar and convince themselves that they are completely clean and healthy. But this goes for everyone really… not just vegos! Excuse my gross generalisations here!!! ;P

I know a “vegetarian” who eats at Hungry Jacks and Mc Donalds! Hahahahahah….

Peace
