I suppose it's like self hypnosis or self suggestive therapy (you are what you think/believe what you are ("what kind of person you wish to be").

"Arrogant" people don't have [personal] problems, OTHER people have the "PROBLEMS" (I know, I'm an arrogant SOB).

If you believe/have confidence/faith (allow yourself to have control over yourself by telling yourself to "REPAIR") that EFT will work, then it will.

In reference to Leanardo Da Vinci's concept of "Univeral Man", shall we not take control of "our own" little universe? After all, we were made in THE IMAGE OF GOD (no one chooses to really understand that PROPERLY). We SHOULD imitate "I am who I am", but everyone has always chosen to believe that God should only be external and that we should simply pray for miracles. Other than praying for special intervention when things are beyond our control, God should be INTERNAL. If our devotion is true (truth, justice/fair, "good, right, and true">Ephesians 5:8 and 9) and we truly are "harmonious and peaceful" (=LOVE..."God is LOVE" also), we will develop "a consciousness of" (right and wrong CONSCIENCE...the tree eaten of in the Garden of Eden) God and have much more control over "our own" little universe, but all throughout history, humanity would rather be partisan and have always found it much easier to be told what to do than to think for themselves (besides, having God as INTERNAL would "cramp their style").

People also choose the world's "wisdom" (such as "You are what you eat", etc.) to be wisdom, and never get to realize things like "You are what you THINK" [you are]), but we have the option to let THE LORD'S grace be sufficient for us (nobody listens to God's ADVICE/good counsel, "COMMAND obsession"...no heart).

The world that can be seen is insufficient, God is in the world that can be FELT [in the heart].

Convince/allow yourself to believe it will work.
