back and neck problems

I used to do yoga, and loved it. I have had problems for more than 15years, and can't seem to do yoga anymore. I was told i might have hyperlordosis, excessive curvature of the lower spine. Does anyone know of specific yoga exercises i can do for this without aggravating the problem. I was told that i need to work on hamstring stretches, which i would say 'The dog pose' but that requires hanging head down, and that strains my neck. I was just wondering if there was anyone on this forum knowledgeable about yoga for specific back problems. I actually have a general yoga for backs book, but alot of the exercises in there i've been told not to do. Example knees to chest stretch and knees bent, arms outstretched, moving knees from side to side.

Thanks
