Abnormal Pap

I just received an abnormal pap result and am freaked. I go this Tuesday (dec. 4th) for a coloscopy. I've always had warts off and on growing up.....on my hands and bottoms of feet. My mom would always take me in to have them burned (frozen) off....man I hated that. I also had laser surgery to remove the ones on the soles of my feet. Anyway within the last couple months or so I have a new one on the side of my finger. What kinds of viruses cause warts and how do I get rid of them? Why do they come and go? Am I more susceptible since I've always had them? I have no signs of warts in the genital area. Thanks for your help!
