1.Is Perque's I-ascorbate, fully reduced non-acidic? 2.Cleansing reaction or acidity?

Is Perque's Potent C Guard which is I-ascorbate fully reduced good form of vitamin C to take in megadoses? I hear that ascorbic acid is too acidic in high doses, and sodium ascorbate should be taken instead. What is fully reduced I-ascorbate? Is it non-acidic form like sodium ascorbate? I like Perque brand, they make good quality products, and would like to use their C.

I started taking it 4 days ago (took 3g the first day, then 4g, then 5g). Today, on my 4th day, I noticed some unusual pimple like rash on my face (I almost never get pimples). Is this a cleansing reaction or my body is too acidic from this form of C?

Thank you.
