Re: surgeon advised to go on a water fast
Your welcome Vanda,
Although we have slightly differing viewpoints on some aspects of fasting it is "healthy" to offer them for the benefit of everyone.
I am of the "old school" in the true Natural Hygienic tradition, as conceived by the founding fathers in the early to mid 19th Century, but am not dogmatic enough to be closed-minded about the subject.
I respect the opinions as expressed in your posts and will continue to do so.
My bias is shown in that
Shelton was/is my mentor in fasting because of his vast experience of the subject.
He spent many years collating every single piece of written information about Fasting and Natural Hygiene, from the many medical & health-reform founders, which eventually culminated in what is generally considered to be a classic of Health
Literature.........."Human Life: It's Philosophy and Laws".
He then proceeded to fine-tune that work over the next 30 years, incorporating his own extensive experience into a seven-volume edition of his own entitled: "The Hygienic System", which to my mind is the most authoritative work ever written on the subject.
It was he who saved my life from what was to be a certain death.
Is it any wonder then, that I promote his lifes work so that it is not lost forever within contemporary Alt' health-thinking and writing?
Respectfully yours
Chris
