Questions about amalgams fillings

Im new to this, so I just had a few questions. What is everyone talking about?? How do you know that these Amalgam fillings are affecting you? What are the symptoms. I have about five of them in my mouth and IVe had them since I was 13 or 14.I am now 26. Also if I wanted to get them removed foes insurance cover this kind of thing, if not, is it expensive? Also what type of filling should I be asking for? Ceramic? I just needed some more info on this. Someone had wrote that they had white coating on their tongue and a pimple after they had it removed, why is that?? Tweet
