Re: magnesium & adrenal responses

ARgh, I sure wish I'd paid more attenion in my phsyology class so I could explain this more clearly.

Magnesium and possasium are necessary to cause your nerves to fire. When one nerve connects to another, they communicate by one nerve releaseing a chemical substance (called a different thing for different parts of the body), which is recieved by the next nerve. In the case of a heart beat, the nerves have to have a correct balance of potassium and magnesium for the nerve sending the message for the herat to beat to be able to communicate with the nerve that recieves the message and makes the heart muscle contract.

Figure it's like a Cell Phone , you don't pay your bill, (deplete your minerals) and they cut you off. Out of balance potassium and magnesium, and boom, you can easily wind up with symptoms that mimic a heart attack. One of the problems with colon cleansing and doing things that cause frequent diarrhea is that it's easy to get this balance out of whack, by depleting either mineral. You lose minerals also when the weather is very hot, and you sweat a lot. I live in south florida, and heat exhaustion happens here a lot in the summer, and Oh boy, you should see the hospital bills that pile up when actually the person was just lacking potassium or had an electrolite imbalance. (Not enough bananas and green leafy veggies!)

Hense, lots of Gatoraide. It's nasty, but it does keep you on your feet and able to work in really hot weather. Before Gatoraide, which also contains great stuff like floride, which is toxic, people ate a lot of dark green leafy veggies, ie stuff like collard greens, and bananas.

So I'd try adding both magnesium and potassium when doing this stuff to get rid of parasites.

But then, it could also be caused by a parasite, there seems to be a big void in research in that area.
