A psychologist asked me to journal about this battle against parasites, and ask myself what I get out of having them in my body. The answer surprised me. It came through loud and strong: It is an opportunity to rein victorious in spiritual warfare. I'm still not exactly sure what this means, but I think it has to do with the dreams of demons dying that I had so frequently when I first started eliminating hookworms from my body.
