Question about sobriety

I have a question, maybe silly, but I drank forever and ever until some years ago, but I wonder if it is true that when you finally become sober that your mentality goes back to the age you drank through most of your days and emotions. I ask because I look at other people my age, and they appear so mature, and so together, and I truly feel and act like I am 15 years younger, although unfortunately, I dont look it. I was just wondering if this is normal, or is it me, or am I just going through mid-life crisis?? Thanks. Tweet
