You asked if anyone has had experience with an Infectious Diseases Specialist. I have just started working with one, so it's too early for me to tell right now.

However, my gastroenterologist referred me because they deal with "unusual and hard to solve" cases.

I will be sure to report any success (or lack thereof) with this new doc.
