more thoughts on diet and iodine

again, my thoughts have turned to diet and the question of "where did all the Iodine go?"

having taken huge amounts of Iodine and found the practice not only safe but effective in cleansing the body and beneficial to my health overall, i have been thinking about where we usd to get Iodine from and why we dont get it now.

this question is one of balance and the ebb and flow of the seasons. also, it is always a matter of what actually makes up the diet. we can exclude up front all the plastic food in the stores. the real list, i have always found, has to come from the bible.

from:

Genesis 1:29 "And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food."

The following explanation of Genesis 1:29 is given according to foods as we know them today:

Every plant yielding seed:
- Grains: wheat, corn, rye, barley, rice, oats, millet, etc.
- Seeds: sunflower, sesame, flax, pumpkin seeds, etc.
- Legumes- soybeans, lentils, peas, peanuts, other beans, etc.
- eggplant, okra, bell peppers, squash, green beans, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, etc.
Fruits: citrus fruits, sweet fruits, palm fruits, etc.
Nuts: almonds, pecans, cashews, brazil, walnuts, etc.

So, God originally intended man to eat plants and fruits... And after the sin of Adam, green herbs were added... and mankind lived extraordinarily long lives, 912 years on average, for over 1,700 years. Only after the drastic changes of a global flood and the addition of a meat-eating diet did man's life-span diminish.

those who dont believe in the bible are excused. from what i have learned in my 48+ years, i have no choice. i have yet to find an error in it.

something happened in the flood, or more specifically, things were different before the flood. here is my list of pre-flood conditions that changed.

1. more free oxygen. oxygen is corrosive. it binds with other elements in the earth fairly readily. this is the fire known as oxidation. it makes sense that free oxygen would be greatest after a time of plants and before animals arrive on the scene. how much more oxygen was in the atmosphere, i dont know. it had to be a significant amount, part of a balance that prevented spontaneous ignition of all the fixed carbon ont he earth.

2. more moisture in the air. this is necessary for the balance i mentioned previously. it is harder for wet stuff to burn. this is evidence by the meteorological data the bible presents. the earth was watered by a mist every evening. this meant the dew point was reached every day. it was like living in a terrarium.

3. greater barometric pressure. this almost had to be the case since much of the earths water was held above the surface in what is called the firmament. this created a hyperbaric oxygen chamber of sorts. greater amount of oxygen under greater atmospheric pressure. no doubt this would contribute to longevity.

4. less gravity. not many people bring this up, but i believe there was less gravity before the flood. a study of the large dinosaurs shows that some of them could not have existed in the gravitational pull we have today. t-rex's head would have snapped off when he tried to move it, for one thing. without a thicker atmosphere and less gravity, i doubt that pterodactyls would have been able to fly as well. even the pyramids, which are pre or just post deluvian didnt weigh as much as they do now. as gravity has increased, the larger species have dwindled to practically nothing(except in the sea) and man can no longer easily weild the swords and shields he once did.

5. a fundamental change in physics took place. in fact, a change in many aspects of physical life took place. things such as chemistry, the mechanics of atoms and even light did some kind of shift. the heavens were opened up to the surface of the earth, letting more sunlight arrive to the surface, creating rainbows in the less dense atmosphere. the heavens seemed farther away without the optical magnification of the water above. it may even be that stars were seen for what they are for the first time.

6. with the washing of the earths surface, the mineral content of the soil was radically changed. some elements which were there before in abundance, like iodine, became more rare. other elements got disbursed and increased in concentration, like aluminum.

all of these things can and do effect longevity. i did not even get intot he increase in ultraviolet radiation reaching the earth without the water filter in the atmosphere. there is a reason our life expentency decreased by 90%. i believe these things are it.

people have already made their mark promoting a bible diet, like the hallelujah diet folks.many people have benefitted from this approach. i like to know the why of it as well.

so lets look again at the bible as a shopping list for the grocery store. the produce from trees. green plants and herbs. after the flood, animal products were added. at first i thought that this was part and parcel of the lack of longevity. i am changing that opinion slightly. i believe animal products are necessary, not for their protein content(that just comes with the territory and is not needed), but for the concentration of vitamins and minerals they are able to provide. one of these is absolutely iodine.

the animals that process a lot of grass - cattle, sheep, goats. these are able to accumulate iodine from all that grass. a huge portion of that iodine is passed out of the body int he form of... milk. then there is fish and all the good fats and iodine they provide. fowl are permitted and they are accumulators of iodine. much of that iodine is passed along in their ... eggs. locusts and wild honey are a complete diet so there must be iodine in locusts. salt is specifically mentioned and that too has iodine. in fact, i would imagine that every food in the bible has something to do with ingesting iodine or its utilization in the body. it makes me wonder about the iodine content of grapes, figs, olives, and such.

a diet that concentrates on foods containing iodine and free of heavy metals and the other halides is a major step toward good health and longevity. grass fed beef and dairy is a must, with plenty of iodine supplemented to them. any other beef product is just reconstituted corn.
