for oral edta, I only administer it as the Mg complex.

ester C is typically the ethyl ester of ascorbic acid; as such it is oil soluble versus ascorbic which is water-soluble. unless one is taking the ester form with foods whic preferably contain some fats , I think any benefits are questionable. I see ester C as marketing, that arose during the ealy 90's , analogously to how "colloidal minerals" came into the picture.
