The complete 8 Sugar product which replaced Mannapol contains the sugars the form the chains on the outside of the cells. These chains of molecules are attached to the cells by proteins and fats and are called glycoproteins and glycolipids.
When any of these sugars are unavailable when the cells reproduce, those glycolipids and glycoproteins form incompletely.
Why this is important is that these are the communication organs of the cell. When they are malformed, the other cells don't recognize them causing the malformed glycoformed cells to be attacked as 'not me' or to be not heard at all causing a complete break down in communication and deibilitating the immune system.
The A product is an immune MODULATOR- it brings both problems back to 'normal' so the immune system can get on with it's business.
It is not palliative. It's restorative because it restores the cells to health.
When the cells are healthy, macrophages deal with both bacteria and viruses according to the presentation Dr. Reg McDaniel made to congress in their search for answers to bioterrorism in 2001.

Mannapol only contains mannose and thus does not provide ALL the glycos to enable the cells to reproduce all their glycoforms correctly.
