I will often do my first oil pull of the day when I shower in the morning. This morning, the coconut oil I was swishing with was taking a while to thicken (the norm for me anymore). But, while I was showering, someone elsewhere in the house must have used some hot water, because the shower got cold for a few minutes. When that happened, I noticed the oil got really thick right away when the water got cold on me.
Has anyone noticed their pulls getting thicker sooner if they are cold when they do the swishing, or if the combo of going from hot to cold made the oil get thicker sooner? I'm going to experiment with this and post back. It'd be interesting if the temperature variation between the outside air/water and the body's normal temperature causes the oil pulling to be more effective or not.
