Trehalose is a new
Sugar being researched. It is comprised of - 2 glucose molecules joined in such a way that it does not trigger insulin and is about 45% as sweet as glucose. In a very small percentage of diabetics it breaks down into glucose but I think it was like 1% or something. We had no trouble like that. It is recommended that diabetics take very small amounts initially and check blood sugars to make sure this isn't occurring.
We use it in tea or coffee and find we need about double as much as we would use of table
Sugar for sweetness- which is fine because that gets about the right amount into us.
I've noticed improved brain function with my husband - don't know about me 8~) but I don't take it as often as he does. When he takes it regularly he finds his morning blood
Sugar readings are consistently lower than without and he seems to be more stable emotionally and mentally and his stamina throughout the day is much better- doesn't need a nap etc.
I don't know why it lowers bloodsugar readings- my husband hasn't changed his diet other than to add in the trehalose.
There have been several retrospective studies done along with research that has found that trehalose seems to affect certain communicators on cells in Parkinson's and Alzheimer's patients. This is what the researcher at endowmentmed told me: there are 'male' and 'female' connectors for cellular communications. In both Alzheimers and Parkinson's the male ones are bent over and in Parkinson's get a plaque on them preventing a proper 'link-up'. With Trehalose, the male ones straighten back up and the plaque dissapates. It is still in early research though a huge grant has just come through.
It's quite inexpensive right now- don't know if that will last but it is made from corn starch so I hope stays reasonable- is about $7 a lb and 5 lb lasts a month if taken as directed.

good luck. They were quite eager to discuss their findings when I called and asked questions prior to placing an order.
It's not MLM- just purchase from them.
These however are the people who present the endomentmed conferences that the AMA has certified for continuing education credits for MD's which so many people on this forum seem to think is based in bogus
Science - so you'll have to decide for yourself.
good luck
