Darwinists insist that evolution occurs as mechanical series of natural events....this includes the evolution of consciousness. They insist that nature gave rise to consciousness by way of random genetic changes and natural selection. Therefore, consciousness depends on nature, not the other way around. But I believe the evidence points to the opposite conclusion: natural, biological events are dependent on consciousness; consciousness directs biological change, not vice versa. Which is what we see here with snails:

here with fleas
(how do fleas develop physical traits simply by being in the presence of a predator? How do they then pass these traits on to progeny? This is otherwise known as lamarckism.)

(be sure and read the whole article -- fascinating disproof of genetic determinism and darwinian evolution.)
here with fish:

(how can fish develop physical traits based on their social setting?)
here with tadpoles:
(How is it that tadpoles stay in their eggs longer when predators are the outside? This allows them to emerge from the egg larger so they will be less likely to be eaten. But how do they know to do this?)

obviously none of these biological changes could have happened without the animal being conscious of his physical surroundings. All of these changes are responses from within to a changing external environment, an environment that needs to be deciphered....which starts with being conscious.
Interestingly though, Darwin made the following quote:
"Natural selection is daily and hourly scrutinizing throughout the world, the slightest variations, rejecting those that are bad, preserving and adding up all that are good, silently and insensibly working. . ."
Do you see what he's doing???????? He's substituting natural selection for consciousness! Instead of consciousness scrutinizing hourly, it's natural selection scrutinizing hourly.
funny how everything about ToE falls apart when you look at it in detail and compare it with the given evidence.
I would like someone to tell me one thing Darwin got right. I can't think of anything.
