I am starting today a 40 day water fast... hopefully 40 days that is. The longest Water Fast
I have completed in the past was 28 days. If I have to end it earlier than 40 days, no sweat. The body knows what the body can handle, so if 40 days if too long I'll cut it short. What a neat forum this is. Along with watching the food network during the first few days, I like to exercise. I walked 3 miles today and hope to continue the same distance by just altering the pace as the fast progresses. I really recommend exercising at the begining of a fast, even if you plan on no exercise during the fast. It depleats glycogen stores in the liver and muscles putting you that much closer to ketosis aka good mood and no hunger! Happy fasting all! And thank you for being there!
p.s. I am not sure if hubby just got tired of my talking about the benifits of fast, or if he actually thinks it can be healthfully done. Either way, he said it was ok with him.
