perusing
currently I have a liter jar always mixing CS, and then there's a gallon jug next to it that i just dump all the CS (minus a little bit to jump start the next batch) into.
I have a silver puppy and Ken, who sold it to me, told me that I didn't need to avoid sunlight, or have any special colored jars.
Sometimes when I check the CS level in the gallon jug it seems like it's lower than it should be for the batches that I've put into it.
1. any harm in running my silverpuppy nonstop?
2. is it okay to be putting it out on the counter in a clear jug? It doesn't sit in the sun or anything but I haven't specially stored it except for keeping it as airtight as possible.
3. can anyone recommend a large glass jar that can pour like a carafe? I'd use my gallon jug more except for two things: a) it doesn't seem to form CS very well even with the magnetic base, b) it's a bitch to pour out of it. I always spill.
Thanks.
