All things are possible with faith, and a lot of work. ;)
Teeth grow from the inside out, so dental students learn that cavities can not be healed. No, it won't heal the way your arm does when it is cut. But you CAN remineralize teeth. To do that,
1. keep it extraordinarily clean. Waterpiks are an excellent tool for getting food out of dental pockets. So are the metal dental cleaning tools sold OTC, but I would want to finish up with a waterpik.
2. keep it surrounded with the naturally occuring minerals of tooth composition - calcium. Chew a tums-like supplement and keep it in your mouth as often as possible. Try not to swallow - *excessive* tums consumption will result in digestive upsets. Fluoride would help toughen up your tooth, but it causes other problems in your body -- brittle bones are among the problems I and my friends have experiences.
I have not had any experience with cavities actually filling back in. If anyone has had THAT happen, POST ABOUT IT!!!
Enamel, the hardest substance in your body and the reason teeth last so well, is produced when the tooth is still inside your gum. If your tooth were an apple, it would be the red peel. Dentin, which is the soft inner part of the tooth
, can be produced from the nerve and blood supply. The nerve and blood supply would be the apple's seeds. I think once enamel is gone, it's gone forever. But that doesn't mean you have to let bacterial acid chew holes in your dentin. Toughen it up with lots of minerals and nourish your body well, and it's possible to prevent tooth loss from a cavity. To "heal" an actual hole in your tooth, the dentin would have to expand into the hole, then be mineralized. It would probably never be as strong or resistant to decay as enamel, but it also wouldn't be a toxic hole in your mouth, filled with mercury or dumping toxin into your system.
Good luck, and keep us posted!!
The founder of the church I belonged to previously made herself known to the medical/dental community by regrowing teeth. Whole teeth. As an adult.
Jesus himself did say "All these things I do, you can do, AND MORE."
Forgive my religious references if they rub you the wrong way. I am simply trying to give you some encouragement in your self-healing work.
:) Now I gotta go do some work for a while. Will post more later today.
