My aunt and uncle went to a very advanced naturopathic healthcare clinic in California and stayed there for about a month receiving various treatments (primarily for my uncle's health problems).
I recall one treatment they told me about and showed me pictures of. Basically they would sit in a chair with their feet in a soak/bath of some sort. There was water and something else clear added with it. As they would sit there it would detox them through their feet. My uncle's water turned inky black the first 3 times! And my aunt's was a brown like tea the first few times. After that the water color change was not so dramatic and later it was just sorta off-color, indicating that they had detoxed a majority of whatever that was. Each bath took a while, I think 1-2 hours (quite boring, just sitting there reading).
I wonder if this is similar to kinotakara detoxing? Just a faster and more extreme form? Again I am not sure of the contents of the footbath so it would be hard to say but I was just noticing the similarity. After reading this forum, a few days ago I woke up going "kinotakara, kinotakara... what IS that?!" and then I remembered it was on here. Hope it works!
