Ok daizy, here goes...
The name. Progressive Christianity or Esoteric Christianity? Or something else? How about the Christian Heretic's forum? Our logo could be a burning pile of lumber with a stake in the middle ... (just kidding *grin*)
I would like to discuss not only early Christianity (Orthodox, Gnostic and Essene and the lost books of the bible) -- the original teachings, plus the actual history of Christianity (hidden agendas and all ...including the Inquistion and the Crusades etc), but also all of the channeled Christian books too.
Edgar Cayce , Seth, the Michael teachings, plus there are numerous channeled gospels that are quite interesting. Any metaphysical & occult types of Christian thought should be open to discussion also.
In addition, all religious/spiritual disciplines that help in our spiritual progress should be acknowledged and be open for debate. There are many paths we can go by, so we should be aware of them and welcome input from those who practice them.
Also, the traditionalists should be made welcome. I realize it can be frustrating discussing things with people who are convinced they are right and you are wrong, (and they use dogma and the bible as their final and ultimate authority and many of us disagree with that) however their beliefs have validity too. They need that structure for where they are in their spiritual evolution. We need to be mature and recognize that.
